Aggregate Appraisal

Aggregates are used worldwide for a multitude of construction purposes, most commonly in the form of crushed rock or minerals used in highway construction as sub-base for stability, drainage, and erosion and sedimentation control. They are also a major component of  concrete or asphalt mixes. Business or asset owners often need to know the value of their aggregate mining sites or properties for reasons such as refinancing or security for a new loan.

In order to assist business and asset owners with these and other needs, RTC provides appraisal services for aggregate mines or quarries.  Our detailed reports include a market analysis, environmental permit review, and local ordinance review.  The final report is a detailed and pertinent to the subject and specific market area.

RTC has completed aggregate site appraisals for numerous materials, including but not limited to: Limestone, Sandstone, Gravel, Diabase, Granite and Shale. Our appraisal of aggregate operations has included the following businesses and/or assets:

  • Limerock quarry and processing plant in Florida
  • Hi-Calcium Lime deposit in Texata British Columbia, Canada.
  • Sandstone and flagstone Quarrying operation in Pike County, Pennsylvania
  • Hard rock quarry operation in Colorado
  • Portland cement quarrying and processing facilities in southeastern Maine

Additionally, many of our efforts have involved underground mining operations, and we have also completed multiple appraisals for architectural stone mines such as Blue Stone, Cut Limestone, and Field Stone Quarries.
